The Jacksonville Lady Jaguars placed 5th in the Jacksonville Invitational played at Cherokee Ranch Golf Club.
Sophomore Xiadani Islas led the Jaguars with scores of 95 and 83 for a total of 178 placing 12th in the tournament.Â
Sophomore Samantha Doyle finished 19th with a total of 207. Freshman Kelsey Kelemen placed 21st with a total of 209, freshman Shelby Wells posted a 212 for a 22nd place finish and Iztel Elissetche finished 22nd for the Lady Jags .Â

Sophomore Blake Turner led the men's golf team fired a two under par 211 to lead the Jaguars to a second place team tie in the Jacksonville College Invitational also played this week at Cherokee Ranch Golf Club .Â
Turner fired rounds of 68-71-72 to finish third place overall in a strong field comprising of NJCAA D1 teams, as well as NCAA D3 teams .
The Jaguars posted team rounds of 290, 283, and 291 to finish with a total of 864 which was good enough to tie for second place with Tyler Junior College. Tyler was awarded second, winning the tie breaker of the fifth man's score .Â
Blinn College won the event with a team total of 857.Â
Stephen F Austin senior Jaxon Griffith won the individual title with a sterling 206 total which was 7 under par.Â
Freshman Rylen Caldwell placed 8th with a total of 216, while sophomore Tyler Greensage finished 10th with a total of 217.
Cooper Camp rounded out the top 20 with a 222 total.Â
Other notable scores for the Jaguars were Chilton Price 228, Jaxon Shaddox 235, Colin Jantz 327, Connor Denson 243, Porter Dotson 243, Ayden Haskins 243, and Collin Lloyd with a 250 total for the 54 holes .Â

The Jaguars resume competition October 2-3 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at Murray State Invitational located at Lake Murray State Park Golf Course.Â
